![]() ![]() I find it funny that you say that every time XXX or TripleX goes out to PvP we have a god spell up. All we are saying is use them or do not use them but do not say you don't use them then turn around and use them and be all shocked that you got caught and try and deflect the issue of being caught in a lie So this is not the first time or likely the last time they will be used. I am sure this is not the first time they have used them as you can see in the video at the end where you can see the hot bar that there are god spells on the hot bar ( not saying they used em in the video just that its there on the hot bar). The point that XXX and TripleX are trying to make is that Quag went all high and mighty about god spells saying they do not use them and then got caught. I can say this because I am in TripleX and XXX and I do not run a god spell every time I go out to PvP. While TripleX and XXX have no issue with people using them ( except when that person or guild makes it a point to say they do not then get caught with their pants down using one ) I can say this not everyone in TripleX and XXX run a god spell every time. Normally this pattern matches perfectly with when the Charm breaks and also keeps one DoT up longer so the one you are charming is still taking some DoT damage.I find it funny that you say that every time XXX or TripleX goes out to PvP we have a god spell up. Pro tip: When I charm kill I do as follows Ĭharm song, Fire DoT, Ice DoT, Magic DoT, Selo's, Fire Dot Ĭharm song, Fire DoT, Ice DoT, Magic DoT, Selo's, Fire Dot, etc. ![]() Once Quag gets low enough hp I just run around and DoT him for bonus EXP. He casts one spell that drains mana but fortunately it doesn't effect bards, and it has the beneficial effect of pulling aggro on seafuries. If he's up I would always charm him and just have him beat the shit out of all the seafuries I was able to grab. He's a higher level rare spawn mob on the cyclops island that hits really hard. Now depending on your level you can also charm Quag Maelstrom. I did this a long time and got a ton of exp and plat in the process. If all works well one will eventually begin to run and you can finish them both off easily. If this is the case charm the same one twice in a row and Dot the one winning to help keep their hp even. Make sure to watch the mobs hp as sometimes one will dominate the other. Also when the mob you are DoTing is stationary he takes more damage from the Dots. The goal is to switch between the 2 and keep them dotted. Once A breaks charm, charm B and cast DoTs seafury A. While A is charmed cast DoTs on B and wait until the Charm breaks. If you want to charm Seafuries then do as follows Timing your charm/mezz's correctly is incredibly important for good group CC. The biggest thing with charm is learning its break time, how to twist 4 songs inbetween charm, and using charm effectively as CC and added dps in groups. If you want to practice charming and have fun with it, i would suggest trying it like a chanter and pitting two equal mobs against each other, getting them both down to sub 20, then breaking charm and snaring them in place as you dot them down. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is obvious in zones like BW when you social an entire pack of bee's and then you need to kill off a sarnak, or the same with a shaman frog in FV. Even with proximity aggro only, or social aggro only, It is very rare that i can charm a pet, throw it into the train, and have it killed. and i do not find that this works consistently. I have spent a massive amount of time barding and writing some guides/etc. I Also dont totally believe that it works and it should be tested extensively before you go ahead and try it. On p99 there is no real reason in my opinion the charm kite in this fashion.
